The Tar Pits’ Smilodon (AKA Saber-toothed cat) exhibit inspired me to write STUCK! The Story of La Brea Tar Pits. I became obsessed with the paleontological research surrounding the predator – prey relationships and the findings from the millions of fossils unearthed at La Brea.
