Here’s a little something that I threw together for the 2023 Spring Fling KidLit Contest.
For this contest, participants are asked to write a story geared towards children ages 12 or under. The story should be 150 words or less, and it should be inspired by a gif. For my entry, I created my own gif using Canva. (For official contest rules, check out this blog post from Ciara O’Neal’s.
Our Colorful World
Imagine a world with no blue sky.
Imagine clouds with no silver lining.
Imagine flowers with no bright colors.
Imagine a rainbow striped in grays.
How boring our world would be!
Thank goodness for clear skies of blue.
Thank goodness for hopeful silver linings.
Thank goodness for cheery flowers.
Thank goodness for rainbow vibrance.
How exciting it is to live in full color!
