Today’s Picture Book Postcard is from Sea Wolf and Spirit Bear of Enough to Share.
What happens to a swimming wolf and a ghostly bear, when there is less and less to share?
For thousands of years, Spirit Bear and Sea Wolf have shared the misty woods and rocky shores of the beautiful Great Bear Rainforest. But now climate change and dwindling resources jeopardize their fragile world and they must compete for food, space, and clean water, putting their survival at risk.
As ENOUGH TO SHARE tells the story of two real, rare animals whose way of life in the beautiful Great Bear Rainforest is threatened, it offers a gentle but powerful message: our world is a gift that we must all share.
Nonfiction facts on each page deepen understanding of the lyrical story, while the back of the book includes more facts on these unique animals, and easy suggestions of how young readers can help protect nature.

My husband handed me a National Geographic article about swimming sea wolves and my eyes popped. I went down the research rabbit hole and learned about rare, endangered animals and the Great Bear Rainforest, creatures and a place I’d never heard of in British Columbia. I thought they would make a beautiful picture book!
